Prep Basketball: Bulldogs, Lady Panthers open season with wins

The Greenwood High School boys basketball team opened its season with a 60-43 win over Greenville High School Tuesday night in Greenville.
After a 9-9 first quarter, the Bulldogs took a 30-20 lead to the half. Greenwood increased its advantage to 44-28 by the end of the third period.

Carroll's boys and girls drop games

The Carroll Academy girls and boys basketball teams played host to Clarksdale Lee Monday night in Carrollton.
The Lady Rebels dropped a 37-9 decision, falling to 2-2 overall. Lee, which only led 10-5 at the half, outscored Carroll 16-2 in the third frame.
