Bulldogs looking to continue winning ways against Greenville

Greenwood High School’s football team continues to take care of business by getting things back in line after a dismal 1-9 record in 2023.
The Bulldogs, who beat Yazoo City 22-14 last week, head to Greenville to face the Hornets at 7 p.m. Friday. Greenville topped Greenwood 33-12 last season.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
