MHSAA to delay football season

The plan is for Mississippi public schools to go forward with football season. It will just take longer than first scheduled.

On Tuesday, the Mississippi High School Activities Association executive committee voted to delay the start of football by two weeks. Cross country, swimming and volleyball will also see a delayed start.

MAIS is full steam ahead toward football season, fall sports

High school football in August?

That’s the plan for the Mid-South Association of Independent Schools — encouraging member schools to be open and fully functional, but that they may follow local county or parish restrictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pillow, Carroll and Delta Streets academies are all members of the MAIS.
