As expected, Mississippi Valley State’s trip to Illinois last week turned ugly.
The Delta Devils lost 62-0 to Illinois State, but they’ve put that behind them as they gear up for their Southwestern Athletic Conference opener.
First-year Valley head coach Rick Comegy called it an “old-fashioned tail whipping.”
