The Leflore County Sheriff's Department will receive three more deputies and some employee salary adjustments, according to Sheriff Ricky Banks.
When Banks submitted his proposal to the Leflore County Board of Supervisors last week, he was not sure it would be approved.
"I didn't think I was going to get it," he said.
