The Delta needs more money.
That was the message of U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., at the conference "Bridging the Gap Between Economic Development and Politics" Friday at Mississippi Valley State University.
Around 40 elected officials and community members from the region attended a luncheon focusing on leadership.
