JACKSON - Meridian Mayor John Robert Smith said Mississippi cannot allow base closure consultant Barry Rhoads to take his knowledge to another state.
Smith and other officials from Mississippi communities with military bases were on hand Tuesday when the Senate passed a bill to give those cities $283,000 to keep Rhoads in the fold.
