JACKSON - House Speaker Tim Ford will not seek re-election to the Legislature next year.
Ford, 51, will make the formal announcement today at a news conference at the state Capitol.
The Democrat from Baldwyn spent most of Tuesday calling individual House members to tell them of his decision.
