JACKSON - Numerical goals for the enrollment of non-black students at Mississippi's historically black universities will not be required before those schools can receive funds from any settlement in a college desegregation lawsuit.
U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and Attorney General Mike Moore made that announcement on Thursday.
