VICKSBURG - For years, I've followed the important work of the Maryland-based Annie E. Casey Foundation.
Among other projects, the foundation annually releases its Kids Count survey, using 10 indicators to rank states from best to worst in terms of the overall well-being of the children who live there.
It's serious stuff.
