The Greenwood City Council, citing concerns about timeliness, approved a U.S. Department of Transportation grant application for the Greenwood-Leflore Airport Tuesday, which includes a $15,000 match from the city.
The grant for $500,000 is intended to help establish scheduled air taxi service between the airport and Atlanta.
