Coach Cedric McSwine was known as a leader — both on and off the football field.
Mr. McSwine, 43, head football coach at Leflore County High School, died of an apparent heart attack Sunday night at his home in Rising Sun.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders pronounced Mr. McSwine dead at the scene Monday morning.
