Bulldogs notch lopsided win over Simmons

The Greenwood High School boys basketball team moved to 2-1 on the young season with a 71-30 victory over Simmons High School on Saturday.
The teams played in the Ken Ross/Diane Washington Cancer Classic in Grenada.

Connor Altman begins his sixth year as the head coach of the Delta Streets Academy boys soccer team as the Lions kick off their 2025-2026 season Thursday against Bayou Academy.
The Lions and Colts will start at 5 p.m. at Stribling Park.

MHSAA All-Star Basketball: Holmes' Greer one of the coaches

Holmes County Central’s Luana Greer, a former standout player at Leflore County High School, has been chosen to serve as the head coach of the 5A/6A/7A girls North team for the all-star basketball games next year.
Greer will be assisted by her two assistants at Holmes, Retha Greer and Tremain Johnson.
