Fastpitch Softball: Senior Nix leads Pillow by St. Joe

Senior Kylee Nix tossed a no-hitter in leading the Pillow Academy fastpitch softball team to a 9-0 win over visiting Madison St. Joe in the District 1-4A opener Thursday night at Robertson Field.
Nix (4-3) went five innings, walking three and striking out six. At the plate, she had a single and scored a run.

CA in scrimmage at PPCA

Carroll Academy will travel to Pearl to play Park Place Christian Academy at 6 p.m. Friday in a scrimmage game before the season opens on Aug. 22.
The Rebels, under the direction of first-year coach Tommy Acy, go to Central Hinds Academy next week to kick off the 2022 season.
