See You at the Polls!
Election time is fast approaching, with the First Primary coming up August 8, 2023. It does my heart good to see so many people running in this upcoming election! My hope is that the voter turnout will be just as good! It’s wonderful to see people running for office. Greenwood needs capable men and women at the helm.
Ladies and gentlemen, please go to the polls in the upcoming elections. It only takes a few minutes of your time, and unless you’ve done your civic duty at the polls, you really don’t have any right to complain about our elected officials. Whether you’re a Democrat, a Republican, an Independent, or anywhere in between, your vote matters! If you don’t think your vote has that much power, keep in mind that Thomas Jefferson was elected President by ONE vote in the House of Representatives after the Electoral College had a tie. There is power in the ballot box. Wield your power wisely!
