A number of tickets were still available this morning for Tuesday’s 95th annual meeting of the Greenwood-Leflore County Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting will take place at 7:15 p.m. at the Leflore County Civic Center.
The event is for everyone, says Beth Stevens, the chamber’s executive director.
“It’s not just the business community — it’s the entire community,” she said.
General admission tickets are $30 each and must be purchased in advance.
Jim Barksdale, interim director of the Mississippi Development Authority and founder of the Barksdale Reading Institute, will be the featured speaker.
Beginning at 6 p.m., 18 food vendors from Greenwood will offer samples of their signature dishes during the fourth annual Taste of Greenwood.
In addition, the annual meeting features a business expo highlighting corporate partners.
The general admission ticket permits access to both events.
Stevens said a limited number of business expo exhibit booths are still available at $100 each.
A number of corporate tables, which cost $400 each, have already been purchased, and a limited number of those tables were still available this morning.
Tuesday morning is the deadline to purchase corporate tables. General admission tickets will be available until the close of business on Tuesday.
Tickets may be purchased by calling the chamber at 453-4152.
