The Que-Mmunity Celebration and Tailgate, an event planned in response to the cancellation of Que on the Yazoo, has also been canceled.
Que on the Yazoo, the annual food and music festival, was called off in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Que-Mmunity Celebration and Tailgate, which was to be held later in the year, now will not go on because of the continued rising COVID-19 case numbers.
Main Street Greenwood is moving forward in planning next year’s Que on the Yazoo, which will be held April 30 and May 1, 2021. This year, though, “with the recent increase in numbers, we just still don’t feel like it is safe,” Snipes said.
Main Street also canceled other events including Brie and Bubbles, a brunch that was supposed to run in conjunction with Bikes, Blues & Bayous on Aug. 1.
Main Street does have holiday events planned for later in the year, but those dates and details have not been announced yet.
