A Greenwood man died Saturday of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident that day in Jackson.
Claxton Wade Wilson, 33, died at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
According to Colendula Green, public information officer with the Jackson Police Department, Mr. Wilson was traveling south when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and struck a bridge guard rail on I-55 near High Street around 3:15 p.m.
He was thrown from the bike when it came into contact with the guard rail, Green said. An accident reconstructionist was working on the case to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Mr. Wilson was a plumber with Prime Time Plumbing of Greenwood. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and are being handled by Williams & Lord Funeral Home.
