A man charged in a recent drug bust at Mississippi Valley State University was arrested Tuesday and charged with possession of a firearm on campus.
Darrell Winford Jr., 20, of Ruleville was arrested by MVSU police.
He was still being held in jail this morning.
Winford was arrested on campus last month for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and released on $500 bond. Sixteen people were charged in the bust, including 11 charged with felonies.
According to the Justice Court office, Winford’s marijuana possession charge is still pending.
He was a student at the time of the arrest.
Following the original drug bust, MVSU Police Chief Robert Sanders said all of the students who were arrested would be expelled.
Valley officials said Winford was reinstated as a student last week.
