An Indianola man now faces several charges in connection with the Sept. 22 kidnapping of a Greenwood woman and her child.
Gary Eugene Boyles, 32, 544 U.S. 82 West, has been charged with two counts of kidnapping, burglary, aggravated assault and domestic violence.
When picked up over the weekend, he was charged only with domestic violence.
He remained in the Leflore County Jail this morning.
Bond had not been set.
Boyles’ address was listed in the arrest docket on Monday as 621 Cherokee St., Greenwood, but according to Deputy Police Chief Johnny Langdon, Boyles was living on Cherokee with his girlfriend.
According to Greenwood Police Chief Henry Purnell, the kidnapping incident allegedly happened at the house on Cherokee Street around 2:45 a.m.
Boyles had managed to elude the police for several days in Indianola and Greenwood.
