Dr. Everett Thomas, an alumnus of Mississippi Valley State University who spoke Thursday at its annual Founder’s Convocation, receives a plaque from Dr. Jerryl Briggs Sr., the university’s president. Thomas donated a total of $50,000 to various organizations associated with MVSU at the convocation.
A Mississippi Valley State University alumnus and retired United States Air Force major general described himself Thursday as a late bloomer.
