2 injured in shooting; police looking for suspect

Greenwood police are asking for the community’s help apprehending a 41-year-old Greenwood man authorities believe is responsible for a Monday shooting that led to the hospitalization of two men.
The suspect, Demorris Conner, also known as Rat Boy, was still at large as of Tuesday afternoon, Chief Terrence Craft said.

Dr. Alfred Arrington

Services for Dr. Alfred Arrington of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Dr. Arrington, 78, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was a retired university professor and administrator.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Century Funeral Home.

Greenwood man wounded in Thursday drive-by

A 28-year-old Greenwood man is recovering after being wounded in a drive-by shooting on Thursday.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said the victim was shot while driving a vehicle on U.S. 82 East at around midnight.
