Greenwood police are asking for the community’s help apprehending a 41-year-old Greenwood man authorities believe is responsible for a Monday shooting that led to the hospitalization of two men.
The suspect, Demorris Conner, also known as Rat Boy, was still at large as of Tuesday afternoon, Chief Terrence Craft said.
Authorities received a call around 3:30 p.m. Monday reporting a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Avenue K and Broad Street, the chief said.
Two Greenwood men were shot. One man, who is 45, was shot in the leg and transported to Greenwood Leflore Hospital. The other victim, 38, was shot in the back and airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was in critical but stable condition Tuesday afternoon, Craft said.
