Christopher McNelson, 23, 118 Ave. I, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of weapon possession by a felon.

Woman dies in wreck on US 82 near MVSU

A Swiftown woman was killed Friday in a multi-vehicle crash near Mississippi Valley State University, according to a release from the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Kelsey Scott, 25, died at the scene from her injuries.

Newman bound over to grand jury

A Greenwood man was bound over to the a Leflore County grand jury Wednesday on charges of kidnapping and capital murder in connection with the November 2023 disappearance of a Greenwood woman.
