A Greenwood man has been charged in a shooting that left another man injured.
Christopher McNelson, 23, 118 Ave. I, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of weapon possession by a felon.
Police Chief Terrence Craft said the shooting incident took place on Nov. 16 at Terrace Gardens Apartments on Aven Avenue at about 8 p.m.
Craft said witnesses reported McNelson shooting a man with a rifle. The victim was shot in the ankle, and his injuries were not life-threatening.
Craft said McNelson was arrested Monday.
McNelson remained in the Leflore County Jail on Wednesday.
His bond has been set at $30,000 — $20,000 for the aggravated assault charge and $10,000 for the weapon charge.
