Grenada PD investigating second murder in just over month; duo arrested

For the second time in just over a month, the Grenada Police Department is investigating the events that led to the shooting death of a Grenada man within the city limits.
According to GPD Chief George Douglas, officers were dispatched to a shooting call just after 8:30 p.m. last Friday in the 1200 block of Mound Street.

Congress has an opportunity to pass legislation that benefits all local citizens, businesses and even protects our democracy. The Local Journalism Sustainability Act, LJSA for short, should be included as part of any upcoming reconciliation bill that Congress is considering.

Council approves Liddell as chief administrative officer

The Greenwood City Council has approved Elizabeth Liddell as the city’s new chief administrative officer.
Liddell, who has served as the executive director for Main Street Greenwood for nearly two years, was approved unanimously Tuesday.
