Florewood Park open for fishing April 19

Florewood Park will be open for fishing once again April 19.
Leflore County Supervisor Anjuan Brown, whose District 3 includes Florewood, said the public is allowed to fish at the park each Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Woman sentenced for fatal stabbing

A Greenwood woman was sentenced this week after pleading guilty in the 2022 fatal stabbing of a 51-year-old Greenwood man.
