Tornado victims in the Browning community were provided supplies, clothing and a meal Saturday as the surrounding community joined to support those in need.

Marvin Davis

A memorial service for Marvin Davis of Greenwood will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Great Southern Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis, 54, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at Delta Regional Hospital in Greenville.
He worked at Ace Hardware.
Pastor Bernadette Loggins will officiate at the services.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
