Services for Yolanda Jackson of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Jackson, 48, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 20925, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
She was a babysitter.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Century Funeral Home.

Glendora police chief to help out in Itta Bena

The city of Itta Bena has added Glendora’s police chief to its force in a part-time role.
The Itta Bena Board of Aldermen unanimously approved hiring Chief Antonio Glenn during its regular meeting Tuesday night. Glenn started in his new role Wednesday and will continue in his role as Glendora’s chief.

Breast cancer survivor Mildred Williams of Greenwood is with Paula Provine, who is also a Greenwood breast cancer survivor and Delta Cotton Belles board member. Delta Cotton Belles was part of Williams’ support system after being diagnosed with cancer last year.
