Dilapidated structures to be torn down

The Leflore County Board of Supervisors on Monday approved moving forward with tearing down dilapidated structures in two places and received updates on how the county is tackling the issue.

Department heads and employees of the city government of Greenwood and local college students gathered Thursday afternoon in front of Greenwood City Hall to kick off their partnership with The Salvation Army of Greenwood for a communitywide Christmas drive to collect non-perishable food items, new and lightly used jackets and winter coats and new and lightly used toys.
