Softball tourney to benefit woman with cancer

A softball tournament will be held Oct. 18 at Stribling Park to raise money for a Greenwood resident battling colon cancer.
The Fall Ball Benefit Tournament will support Sandy Bartlett, who was diagnosed in June.

Services for Jennifer Clayton-Murry of Greenwood will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Word of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Clayton-Murry, 55, died Monday, July 21, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
She was a regional manager for MAP Inc.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
