He was self-employed.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home.

The first day of classes always marks an exciting new beginning for students, says Tim Burton, head of school at Leflore Christian School.
“It’s another step in their lives toward developing the skills they need to be productive adults,” said the longtime educator, who has returned to the field after a three-year hiatus.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
