Services for Ophelia Washington of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Church of God in Christ.
Ms. Washington, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at home.
She was a retired secretary who had worked at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home.

2 Nashville musicians will perform Tuesday

A pair of Nashville musicians will kick off the Hush Puppy Music Co-Op’s first show of 2026.
Paul Burch and Fats Kaplin will perform Tuesday both separately and together. Special guest Kristi Rose will also join the duo on stage. The concert will be at 7 p.m., at Old City Hall, 121 Main St.

Services for Franklin Iber Jackson of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Jennings Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
Mr. Jackson, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at Bolivar County Medical Center.
He worked at Easi Buy.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Century Funeral Home.
