2 Nashville musicians will perform Tuesday

A pair of Nashville musicians will kick off the Hush Puppy Music Co-Op’s first show of 2026.
Paul Burch and Fats Kaplin will perform Tuesday both separately and together. Special guest Kristi Rose will also join the duo on stage. The concert will be at 7 p.m., at Old City Hall, 121 Main St.

Rebels break loose in 16-1 win over NSA

The Carroll Academy baseball team moved to 1-1 on the young season with a 16-1 triumph over visiting North Sunflower Academy Monday in Carrollton.
The Rebels plated 12 runs in the first inning and four in the second. NSA scored one run in the first.

Services for Franklin Iber Jackson of Greenwood will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Jennings Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
Mr. Jackson, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, at Bolivar County Medical Center.
He worked at Easi Buy.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Century Funeral Home.
