The Leflore County High School girls volleyball team improved to 7-3 on the season with a 3-2 match win over M.S. Palmer Thursday in Marks.
The Lady Tigers lost the first set, 25-14, but came back to win the second set, 25-10. Palmer claimed the third set, 25-20, and Leflore won sets four and five, 25-13 and 15-4.
Leflore hosts Riverside Tuesday.
Greenwood High: The Lady Bulldogs dropped a 3-0 decision to Kosciusko High School Thursday in Kosciusko.
Kosciusko swept the match, 25-11, 25-7 and 25-15.
Greenwood (8-6) entertains Kosciusko Thursday.
-Amanda Elzy: The Lady Panthers fell 3-0 to visiting Winona High School Thursday at Greenwood’s gym.
Winona won the match by winning the sets, 25-17, 25-13 and 25-21.
Elzy (5-7) hosts Clarksdale Tuesday.
J.Z. George: The Lady Jaguars suffered a 3-1 setback at Riverside High School Thursday in Avon.
Riverside won the first two sets, 25-14 and 25-23.
However, J.Z. George (1-9) took the third set, 25-18. Riverside ended the match with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.
J.Z. George visits M.S. Palmer Tuesday and hosts Leflore County Thursday.
