First, these preachers who signed a letter to the Jackson paper are not leaders of the Mississippi Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and do not represent the Methodist clergy of Mississippi (“Methodist leaders object to new law,” April 26). This small band of preachers represents only themselves.
