Mayoral race, 2 City Council seats on ballot

All Greenwood voters are eligible to participate, though what races you can vote on depends on where you live.

3 mayoral candidates haven’t submitted their finance reports

Three Greenwood mayoral candidates have yet to submit campaign finance reports to the City Clerk’s Office as required by law.
The three candidates — Brandice Brown-Williams, Kenderick Cox and Lamar Liddell — are all vying for the Democratic nomination Tuesday.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
