If state Rep. Greg Snowden truly wants to improve on the way Mississippi selects judges, he’d introduce legislation making those at the appellate level appointive.
Instead, Snowden, a Meridian Republican who is speaker pro tem of the House, has filed a bill to make judicial races more partisan than they already are.
