Dallas Cowboys fans are distraught that their team let Sunday’s comeback against the Green Bay Packers get away on the last play of the game. But Mississippi State fans who have been following Dak Prescott all season still should be exceptionally pleased.
Prescott, the Cowboys’ rookie quarterback, delivered an impressive performance on the national stage. Most importantly, he kept his cool when the Packers went up 21-3 midway through the second quarter. Dallas kept plugging away and scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, including Prescott’s dazzling 2-point conversion, to tie the game at 28.
The Cowboys lost the battle of field goals that ensued, but they were up against a very hot Green Bay team.
As for Prescott, 2016 was still a great rookie season. Given that he went in the fourth round of the draft, it is clear the Cowboys unearthed a hidden gem.
