A Greenwood man has been apprehended in the investigation of a drive-by shooting Sunday at State Street and Avenue K.
Patrick Peoples, 28, of 420 W. Percy St., is being held for investigation. He has not been officially charged, Deputy Policy Chief Huntley Nevels said.
Victim Greg Taylor, 23, of 2000 Basket St., was still in Greenwood Leflore Hospital as of Tuesday, Nevels said.
Around 9 p.m. the victim was walking in the area when a car pulled up and the driver began shooting, Nevels said.
A female passenger was in the car with the shooter but is not being charged, Nevels said. The passenger is possibly a juvenile, he said, so her name has not been released.
