Authorities looked more like shoppers at a hunting show than law officers Monday at the Leflore County Civic Center.
Deputies from Leflore and Carroll counties began inventory on items they believed were stolen recently from hunting camps in the area of Money.
For most of the day, deputies worked on the report of all of the stolen property and attempted to identify the owners, said Leflore County Sheriff Ricky Banks.
Officers walked through piles of assorted ammunition, duck decoys, portable radios, binoculars, game cameras, tackle boxes, air compressors, trailers and hunting clothes.
Investigators with the Leflore County Sheriff's office have been searching since mid-July for the missing items and the person believed to have taken them.
Officers arrested William Thomas Beachum III, 46, Route 1, Box 347, Carrollton, Sunday and accused him of the thefts.
He was arrested at his home, said Banks.
"Beachum is being charged with at least six counts of burglary in Leflore County," said the sheriff.
The Carroll County Sheriff's Department received a tip from Leflore County investigators of stolen property at Beachum's home.
Beachum is also being charged with commercial burglary and grand larceny in Carroll County, said Sheriff Donald Gray.
Officers with the sheriff's departments in Leflore and Carroll counties recovered three boats - two from Beachum's home and one in Cleveland - three four-wheelers and other items, such as clothing, ammunition, tackle boxes and air compressors.
Sheriff Banks said he doesn't expect any other arrests at this time.
