Bridge No. 54 on County Road 546, west of Itta Bena, is in need of repairs totaling about $110,000, county engineer Robert Willis told the Board of Supervisors on Monday.
A recent study shows the structure should bear no more than 6,000 pounds, he said.
"Without money all we can do is post it for 6,000 pounds," Willis said, adding that people usually ignore the postings.
The county receives funding for bridge repairs every four years and is not due to receive additional money until next year. The county's pocketbook is already empty, Willis said.
President Robert Moore urged Willis to keep searching for state funds.

Supervisors accepted the resignation of Richard L. Dillon from the Greenwood Leflore Airport Board. In his letter, Dillon said he enjoyed being a member of the airport board for five years.
"However, your decision to no longer allow the Airport Board to choose its own chairman is a decision I strongly disagree with," Dillon said in his letter. "Therefore, please, accept this letter as my letter of resignation effective this date."
Dillon said, "If the board is not capable of choosing its own chairman, it's not capable of running an airport."
The Board of Supervisors approved a motion to send Dillon a letter of thanks for his service.
The board discussed its role in the restoration and maintenance of the abandoned Greenbrier/McIntyre Cemetery. The state has granted Leflore County jurisdiction in maintaining the cemetery since individuals responsible for its upkeep are dead. The board unanimously voted to table the matter until funds become available.
The closing of County Road 285 was again unanimously tabled. Residents of the Berclair community who have been seeking to re-open the road were present.
