Itta Bena board discusses options for old city hall site

Itta Bena aldermen were asked Tuesday to consider the future of the old city hall building.
At the board meeting, Mayor Mary Tyes-Williams said she asked the topic be placed on the agenda so that the board could begin thinking about what could be done with the building.

GRENADA — Services for Louise Lofton Brown of Vaiden will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Abundant Life Assembly Church in Grenada.

Ms. Brown, 87, died Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Texas.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at St. James Church of God in Christ in Vaiden.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
