Catherine Hawkins Frederick of Tyler, Texas, and Charlie Williams of Itta Bena announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Willie and Alzie Hawkins.
She is a 1987 graduate of Leflore County High School and attended Mississippi Valley State University, where she studied English.
