Tim Kalich, right, editor and publisher of The Greenwood Commonwealth, presents the newspaper’s Community Service Award for 2025 to Dr. Andy Johnson during a ceremony Wednesday at North Greenwood Baptist Church. The longtime Greenwood veterinarian was recognized for his significant and lasting contribution to the betterment of the community. The selection was made in conjunction with the newspaper’s Profile edition, published on Feb. 27. The award included a $1,000 donation from the newspaper to the charity of Johnson’s choice — the men’s ministry at North Greenwood Baptist.
