The Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School Board voted to fire Superintendent Mary Johnson at a special call meeting Wednesday.
Following a four-hour executive session, board attorney Derrick Simmons announced the board was releasing Johnson from her contract effective immediately.
Simmons declined to say how each member voted.
