The COVID-19 pandemic has put a damper on Greenwood’s sales tax collections.
For the month of April, the city collected $408,976 from sales tax, which is $33,947 less, or a 7.7% decrease, from what the city collected that month last year, according to the Mississippi Department of Revenue.
