A woman in her 80s is the 39th person to die from COVID-19 in Leflore County.
She died Friday at Greenwood Leflore Hospital and had multiple underlying health problems, according to Christine Hemphill, a spokeswoman for the hospital.
The victim had been living at a long-term care facility.
