Depaul USA's "ROOTS" program in Greenwood held a fish fry fundraiser Monday in the North Greenwood Baptist Church parking lot, featuring food provided by Larry's Fish House. The ROOTS program helps recently incarcerated women enter society again through transitional housing and supportive services. From left are Kathy Johnson, director; Angie Woods, case manager; Yoshi Carter, resident manager; and residents Miranda Alford and Lucy Roane. The residents not pictured are Diana Anderson, Sarah Bassett and Rebecca Roberts. "The fundraiser went amazing," Johnson said. "All of the money goes toward the transitional home for women coming out of incarceration that would otherwise be homeless."
