Little flooding from 2 days’ rain

The National Weather Service said Greenwood received more than 4 inches of rain over the past two days, but it did not cause a lot of flooding problems, according to county and city officials.

Man charged in bank robbery

A Greenwood man has been charged with armed robbery in the theft of about $4,000 from BankPlus last Wednesday.
Vondregus Lopez Bailey, 53, of 201 Scott St., is being held in the Leflore County Jail on $250,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
